Deepspace has changed direction. I've decided instead of doing a game inspired by Elite, I'd actually do a remake/re-imagining of Elite. Here's a picture of the dreaded Thargoid Warship, you definately don't want to mess with this in a dark corner of 'Witch' space ;-)
